Internet Money

For  those of you wondering what I have been working on these last couple weeks in July, it has been an arduous but rewarding experience developing a local website for Csenge Advisory Group's Pennsylvania branch. With the help of the staff at Csenge, wordpress.com, Conrad Burns and Jim Dlugos; the other two summer interns, we have collaborated to create csengepa.com. The new website adds a local touch of Western Pennsylvania by showcasing Csenge's proven wealth management techniques, while maintaining the key roots of its base in Clearwater, Florida.

As we were designing the website, our instructions were to keep a simple yet modern approach that facilitates user friendliness. There were quite a few adjustments that had to be made to the site before it was published. Here's a link to our current web address  csengepa.com

New Month, New Objectives

As July is now into its first full week, I continued working hard after the July 4th weekend. The data mining is coming along well for Csenge as I should be done with everything by the end of the week. The newest task assigned to myself and the two other interns involves expanding upon and getting Csenge's Pennsylvania branch website up and running to make it more appealing to the younger Generation Y users. No easy job here but then again three young minds are better than one. Remember, "Time and energy are required to keep abreast of the forces that may change the value of a security. While one can know all there is to know about a few issues, one cannot possibly know all one needs to know about a great many issues."

Week 3 of Work at Csenge

As I continue to learn about investing & wealth management, compile data, create excel spreadsheets, sit in on staff meetings and report to Joseph Piszczor and Rodger Bedillion, I am finding my time at Csenge Advisory Group more and more rewarding. I look forward to my full time commitment after my summer class is over this week and I will continue to positively impact the success of this firm and leave it in better condition than what I started here with. Knowledge is everything and I'm learning something new each and everyday. Here's to hoping July and August go the same way!

Summer Class

On a side note, the summer started off well today as I partook in my first summer class of the year. The Chemistry of Brewing 102 will last from June 2 - 27. Today I learned about the basic ingredients in beer and watched an hour movie covering all of the different kinds of beers (ales, lagers, stouts, etc). Tomorrow we will complete our first lab of the year. Wish me luck!

Magellan Project

Found only at Washington & Jefferson College, The Magellan Project provides students with necessary funding to pursue their independent summer research projects. As this is my first Magellan Project, this summer I will be apprenticing at Csenge Advisory Group in Washington, Pennsylvania. Csenge is a premier wealth management company offering their services in three areas:

They provide the best wealth management and education they can to individuals and families. They work with employers and employees to properly satisfy their fiduciary obligations and have a productive program. They host a communal practice environment for advisors seeking to learn and practice the best they can. Headquartered out of Clearwater, Florida, Csenge works in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California as well.

During my two months with the firm my role will be focused on development of social media networks and messaging on their new website and respective outlets. Reaching multiple generations of American's with the data they crave has become a challenge in the industry. Csenge has recently acquired more communication avenues and plan to utilize and capitalize on them with my help. The educational component of my time will be focused on learning about wealth management, the financial industry, security and market analysis, employer and individual retirement plans, and how to adequately asses the risks and rewards of multiple investments.

About

I am a rising senior at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and attended Carlisle Area School District. My professional interests in college have led me to pursue a major in economics with a minor in business administration. Currently I serve as the President of the W&J Men's Rugby Club as well as Secretary of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Mr. Joseph Piszczor, financial advisor at Csenge and the W&J Men’s Rugby Coach helped me secure my internship. After my undergraduate days at Washington & Jefferson College, I plan to attend graduate school to further my studies in business and economics and earn an M.B.A.
